My background and experience:

I have more than 20 years of experience in quality systems and laboratory accreditation.

​

After completing a Bachelor of Applied Science (BASc) in Chemistry and Applied Microbiology from the University of South Australia in 1998, I started my professional life in the food and beverage industry, conducting testing in micro and chemical laboratories in both Australia and the UK.

​

In 2002 I joined NATA and worked for 15 years in various industries and roles conducting assessments to ISO/IEC 17025 and ISO/IEC 17020. 

​

I worked closely with  numerous laboratories so I understand that each organisation is unique and accreditation requirements can be met in different ways depending on the business and the type of testing. This experience will assist finding the solution that fits your needs.​

I have a vast expertise across a wide range of areas, with a particularly strong knowledge in laboratories testing construction materials (infrastructure and asset integrity), including production facilities (such as concrete, asphalt and quarries), independent geotechnical and engineering laboratories. I also have experience in other testing fields including calibrations, food and water and inspection services.

​

Since NATA, I have gained lead auditor qualifications in ISO 9001:2015, ISO 14001:2015 and ISO 45001:2018 so can assist in integrating systems for laboratory accreditation with quality, safety and environment certification.

I’ve been working as a consultant since 2017 and has helped a number of established organisations and laboratories simplify and improve their systems, as well as new organisations set up systems from scratch and assisted them in obtaining NATA accreditation efficiently.

Outside of work, I have a passion for travelling and cycling, especially when the two are combined.
